I plan to use my degree to:
I plan to use my degree in the position of Field Crop Extension Agent in Union County. I hope to provide support to farmers by giving them insight to industry and research and learn something from them along the way!

What I enjoyed most about my experience at NC State was:
I can’t choose one thing! I loved everything about NC State, from the classes I was in to the organizations I was a part of, I would not change one minute of it.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:
From the CALS department, my three largest supporters were Dr. Bob Patterson, Dr. Keith Edmisten, and Dr. Lori Unruh-Snyder. Dr. Patterson was always there to help me both in classes and during my tenure in leadership positions for student organizations. He always did whatever he could to help, no matter the cost to him! Dr. Edmisten has been my advisor all four years and mentored me through the CALS Honors Program. He also encouraged me to participate in the Agronomy Club, and traveled with me to the SASES national conference where I participated in an extemporaneous speech contest that I would not have done without his support! Finally, Dr. Unruh-Snyder is the first professor that encouraged me to enter the Crop and Soil Sciences program at NC State. She traveled with me during my first time on a plane, worked to get me an opportunity to go abroad that my parents approved of, and has continuously worked to find opportunities for me. She has been my biggest cheerleader and away-from-home mom for me on NC State’s campus. My experience at NC State would not have been the same without these three amazing professors. I also must mention my brothers in Alpha Zeta. The people in this organization were there for me from the time that I joined and have supported me in very many ways. To all of you, I say thank you!

Now that I have completed the program, I’m most looking forward to:
I’m most looking forward to using the knowledge I learned at NC State to make a difference.
