I plan to use my degree to:
I plan to use my degree to pursue a career in plant pathology research. My current plans are to take a gap year and gain some more hands-on experience in industry research before pursuing a graduate degree program in plant pathology.
What I enjoyed most about my experience at NC State was:
I really enjoyed the family atmosphere of CALS and how I could easily reach out to professors and advisors if I had any questions or issues and they would quickly be addressed. I also really enjoyed having the opportunity to learn material through hands-on experience in the field and lab.
While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:
My biggest supporters were of course my family as they saw first hand the ups and downs of this journey and helped me most when I really needed it. My academic advisor and department professors were also very supportive and I actively sought their advice when I was faced with challenges. Specifically I would like to thank Dr. Patterson, Dr. Crouse, Brittany DesLauriers, Tricia Buddin and Anne Hubbard for offering me their support and help over the past few years.
Now that I have graduated, I’m most looking forward to:
Getting to use the skills I have learned in the classroom in real world settings and gaining more knowledge along the way!
